V2C is the first
housing association in Wales to be established as a result
of a large scale voluntary transfer (LSVT) by a local
authority. The transfer from Bridgend County Borough
Council to V2C took place in September 2003. We currently
provide improvement, repair and management services to over
6,000 rented homes. Additionally, we provide services to
some 750 leaseholders and manage a portfolio of commercial
premises.
V2C’s governing body and Board of Management consist of elected
tenant and independent members in addition to nominees from
the local authority. We are a not-for-profit organisation.
We want to ensure our housing service is visible, effectively
engaged with our customers and the communities in which we
work but ultimately focused on the delivery of lasting
improvements. In partnership with others, we want our homes
and the neighbourhoods surrounding them to be places where
people choose to live, work and stay. Being a member of
Integrate is consistent with our aims and provides and
provides access to a network of organisations that can
assist to develop good practice and innovative approaches to
procurement and service delivery.
