Integrate
Consortium framework worth up to £120m
The Integrate Consortium of eight
housing associations in South Wales has invited expressions of interest
for a four year framework arrangement to carry out new build housing
contracts worth up to £120m.
The framework contracts will be for a
wide range of housing, including retirement homes, homes for people
with special needs and larger regeneration schemes with community and
commercial facilities.
Integrate already has a Framework
arrangement with 40 contractors but this comes to an end early next year
and will be replaced by the new framework.
Consortium Director Ian Layzell said:
"The current framework has improved our delivery of new housing and we
look forward to building on this with the new framework arrangement."
“We are looking for large and small
contractors, locally based, who can work in partnership with Integrate
to deliver good value, sustainable and affordable housing for our local
communities.”
Integrate’s members work across eight
local authority areas and, in partnership with its framework
contractors, can use its considerable investment in new housing to
boost employment and the local economy.
Michelle Smith, Integrate’s Targeted
Recruitment & Training Manager, said: “The framework arrangement helps
Integrate to maximise the opportunities for jobs and training through
its procurement, and to contribute to the local economy through
construction work and training.”
The Integrate Consortium members are:
Cadwyn Housing Association; Cardiff Community Housing Association;
Coastal Housing Group; First Choice Housing Association; Newydd Housing
Association; Taff Housing Association; United Welsh Housing Association;
and Valleys to Coast Housing.
Integrate owns and manages around 23,000
homes, over 20% of all the housing association stock in Wales. Its
members are fully committed to providing its residents with better
services, improved value for money and lower costs.
Integrate’s objectives are to secure
better value for money and greater sustainability in its development
programme. It aims to minimise the environmental impacts of its new
housing and to maximise the social and economic benefits of its
development programme.
